Default LeCroy LT series oscilloscope

Is the SFDR-III compatible with the LeCroy LT364L oscilloscope?

The floppy drive is a Citizen W1D notebook floppy drive and reads/writes DOS formated files.

Thanks,
-Rusty B.

Rusty,

We have two types of the slim III model, the III-OSC that have been used in Tektronix and Agilent scopes (to replace the Teac FD-04), and the III-IBM model which has been used in more recent equipment as a Teac FD-05 replacement. The electrical interface should be really similar to at least one of them.

I would recommend trying the III-OSC model first, in the hopes that similar scopes used similar drives. If that doesn't work, we would then send the III-IBM. If neither works, at that point then we could either inspect yours or try to acquire the same drive to see where the interface mismatch is; but again hopefully the first one would do the trick.

If all options are exhausted then we will refund.

I can confirm the slim III-OSC works in a LeCroy LT364L oscilloscope.

Two caveats:

1. The front panel bezel on the III-OSC is slightly taller than opening in 'scope. The plastic bezel must be trimmed/sanded by about 1 mm to fit.

2. The connector location is offset from the replaced drive. The original 1mm pitch x 2.5" flat flex cable is too short. A 5" replacement cable is sufficient. I ordered a Molex 21039-0429 from Digikey (WM10049-ND) for less than $5 but it can be found as low as $1.

Hi,

I really appreciate the info, Rusty. I had attempted to search for appropriate extension cables but apparently I'm better at searching Mouser instead of Digikey.

We will attempt to get the dimensions slightly altered on future units...
