I can confirm the settings for the OSP-E100L, this took 20 min to change out the old floppy drive and install the USB upgrade, worked perfectly.
I also tried this on our older lathes, the OSP-7000L and did not find a configuration that would work, the best I could find was 1-off 2-on or off 3-off 4-on or off 5-must be on 6-on or off 7-on 8-on With 1 and 3 off I got the green and red light to blink when the machine tried to access the drive, but I got an error saying the floppy was not ready. If I turned 5 off no lights would come on at all and I would get a floppy time out error. It is interesting that both controllers use the exact same model of floppy drive, a YE DATA YD-702D-6639D, but for some reason I could not get the older controller to recognize the floppy emulator. And yes the older machine uses DOS to access/copy files to and from the floppy drive. |
